DuPage County Historical Museum: “DuPage County and the Civil War: A Local Perspective, to Sept. 2012. Gallery Talk: DuPage and Civil War Topic: Women and Children, May 26. Other exhibits will take you on a journey through 150 years of history, a walk in the woods, an 1890’s family sitting room and an activity area all about measurement. Elgin Public Museum: Test out your athletic prowess in Mammal Olympics and see how you match up against kangaroos and blue whales. David L. Pierce Art & History Center: Exhibit commemorates the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War.
